Why is it called Mission20?
I appreciate whenever I’m asked this question and always welcome the opportunity to provide the “why” behind the name. There are three components of the overall Mission, each with their own “20” attached to it.
The first 20. Well, this one is rather simple, but Mission20 was founded and launched in early 2020. Initially this 20 was centered around a relatively ordinary view towards “new year, new decade, new you”. Suffice to say that 2020 had other ideas about how the year would unfold that were anything but ordinary. Regardless, I’m proud that Mission20 was introduced to the world in year that will be described in history so many different ways. Perhaps in one small way this also makes 2020 memorable, and in time as we continue to get to know one another I hope that you view that aspect of the year positively.
The second 20. For several years I have been a student and practitioner of Unbeatable Mind, an integrated human optimization methodology developed by former Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine. To further advance my understanding of this philosophy I joined the first cohort in a year-long training and certification program directed by Commander Divine and his elite team. Upon completion, I successfully graduated as a certified Unbeatable Mind coach with a small cadre of fellow trainees. One core defining principle of Unbeatable Mind, along with many other key insights I ascertained, is that every human being is capable of 20x more than they think they are. I hold true to this belief and would work with you to discover the same.
The third 20. You might call this the “Crossroads 20”. It was that point in my life and career where I took a pause to evaluate the next chapter, that vision within of how I wanted to experience time with my family combined with professional aspirations. Diving deep through what became the foundational pillars of Mission20, I kept landing on one question I needed to answer: What impact do I want my life to have over the next twenty years? And with that perspective shift in mind, the “Crossroads 20” became the “Impact 20”. My mission now is to help you crystallize the vision of your Impact 20.
